Amzn-SearchBot is Amazon's search indexing crawler. Amazon documents it as collecting content for Rufus, its shopping assistant, and for Alexa knowledge and shopping results, and states that it does not crawl content for generative AI model training, which is the role of the separately catalogued Amazonbot. It respects robots.txt rules, robots meta tags and rel=nofollow directives, and is observed in two build variants sharing the Amzn-SearchBot token, one declaring version 0.1 inside a spoofed Chrome User-Agent and one declaring version 1.0 with a link to Amazon's Amazonbot support page. Amazon publishes crawler IP ranges at developer.amazon.com/amazonbot/ip-addresses but does not document a reverse-DNS verification method for this token, so a User-Agent match alone is not proof of origin.
